Here are some fun things that didn’t quite make it to my web portfolio. But it’s still great stuff.

While making the banner video for the front page, I thought it looked like scenes from a young adult anime. So I tried cutting it in 16:9 Reels/Snap/TikTok video form. I experimented with setting it to different ‘90s Japanese soft rock and landed on this song.

And just like an anime trailer, I added some voiceover using TikTok’s text-to-speech function. Because TikTok does not support Japanese text-to-speech yet, I manipulated English voiceovers to say things in Japanese, resulting in unnatural but relatively accurate Japanese.
